The Principle of Least Privilege

CraftUTILITY develops high-efficiency Shopify utilities designed with a "security-first" architecture. Our privacy philosophy follows the Principle of Least Privilege: our applications only request the specific Shopify API scopes required to perform their core functions. If data is not vital to the utility's operation, we do not request or store it.

1. Data Collection & Usage

Depending on the specific CraftUTILITY application installed, we may process store-level metadata, including but not limited to:

• Inventory & Product Data: To perform stock management and optimization.
• Shop Information: To verify authentication and manage billing via Shopify.

We do not collect, store, or sell customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, physical addresses, or payment details.

2. Data Retention & Deletion

We operate on a "Minimal Footprint" policy. Data is processed in real-time wherever possible. Upon uninstallation of a CraftUTILITY app, all store-associated data is automatically purged from our active systems within 48 hours, in strict compliance with Shopify’s mandatory data protection webhooks.

3. Security Standards

All data in transit is protected via industry-standard TLS encryption. Our internal infrastructure is hardened to prevent unauthorized access, and we perform regular internal audits to ensure the integrity of our automation engines.

4. Third-Party Disclosure

CraftUTILITY does not share, lease, or sell merchant data to third-party advertisers or data brokers. Data is used exclusively for the functional improvement of the utilities you have installed.

5. International Data Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

We recognize the data protection rights of merchants globally. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right of Access: You may request a copy of the store data we process.
• Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your data (this is typically handled automatically via Shopify uninstallation).
• Right to Portability: You may request that we transfer your data to another service.
